Yeah, we've been kinda inactive for the past few months, but we've been busy with a bunch of stuff. Yes, it's summer, and most people expect more work to be done in the summer, but that's completely opposite for me (since I'm home for the summer, which means not much computer time...). Nevertheless, we're going to try our best to work on stuffz and get some episodes out! Anyway, here's a long-overdue status update:
248 - Kara Apply + Final TS Touches, then QC 252 - tiny bit of TS, then QC again 255 - Kara Apply + Final TS Touches, then QC 256 - Typesetting, then Kara Apply and QC 257 - Typesetting, then Kara Apply and QC 296 - QC
This has been in the works for way too long. At least it's finally seeing a release now! 252 should be ready by this weekend at the latest, and 262 should be ready soon too!
Due to our typesetter (Aeon) going AWOL on us again (this time, for 2 weeks and counting [Edit: Now 1 month]), I have decided to open up recruitment for another typesetter. Advanced knowledge of Aegisub/ASS tags and coding is REQUIRED, and past fansubbing experience is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Most of the typesetting is simple, such as static signs, name boxes, applying styles and fades, etc, but more advanced things like movement and other special effects do appear from time to time. If interested, PM me on IRC, here on the forums, or leave some contact info in a comment!
Edit: We have found a replacement typesetter/encoder (maybe karaoke'r too). Might take a bit to get back into the swing of things, but we hope to resume work soon!

Just got back from my short (but painful) weekend trip, to bring you a manga case! 233-234 features some Haibara character development, so this is a must-watch for any Ai fans out there. 233 was actually ready before 232v2, but I didn't want to release part one without part two (don't want another 249-250 incident). However, all three episodes are out now! Since that clears 3 spots from the Status pane, I will go ahead and announce another round of episodes that are in the works: 248 (announced last post), 257 (in typesetting), and 296 (also in typesetting, but needs ED kara still). Since we work on episodes on a case basis (ie: part 1 and part 2 are worked on at the same time), these one-part AOs are farther along than two-parters. Anyway, enjoy this case, and hopefully look forward to something on Christmas Day!

v1 was missing a line that I commented out by accident, and then was delayed a bit due to me going on a trip where there was no internet access. Special thanks to Aeon and Parkur for getting 232v2 released without me. Again, gonna re-announce 248, which is now in typesetting. Hopefully it will be done soon (but I doubt it will be ready before 2009 is over). There's also something special we've been working on that might be ready in time for Christmas (nothing that we've announced yet ;P), so look forward to that!
232v2 coming soon. One line was commented out, and therefor did not appear in the final encode. Should be out later today (233-234 might be out as well).
EDIT: And of course, they're not going to be ready before I leave for my trip in an hour. Looks like it's gonna be delayed till Sunday =/
Finally, a release! This project was started back in June/July, but was put off for WAY too long. We put a lot of effort into this release, from using new encoding methods (still xvid-avi) to make the video look better, to using new typesetting for things like the name boxes.
To compliment this release, I am going to announce another project we've been working on over the past week: 252! This episode has already been translated by one of our new translators, Dany, and timed by our new timer, Leet_Gaara (so, it's in editing now). Look forward to it after 232 (which should be out within the coming weeks), and 233-234! From now on, I'll probably keep it to five announced episodes at a time. Why? Cause I can. =P
We're also looking for experienced editors, timers, and typesetters to help speed up our releases. Send a PM via the forums or IRC to Zdm321 if you're interested!
